Bist du mal von Kreta aus nach Schottland gereist, Ariadne?

Hallo Dornröschen,
vor ca. 10 Jahren war ich mal ca. 5 Wochen lang in Schottland, auch auf den inneren Hebriden (Iona, Staffa, Mull, Skye), den Orkney- und den Shetlandinseln. Die meiste Zeit habe ich in Edinburgh verbracht, eine tolle Stadt! Die Natur ist in Scottland atemberaubend schön. Irgendwann verbringe ich bestimmt mal wieder meinen Urlaub dort.

... ja, am Besten mit Raynair (ahh,das wird anders geschrieben)!!!

Das hab ich letzten Sommer gemacht. Für ca. 50€ Hin- und Rückflug.
Und dann einfach mit dem Rucksack durch Schottland ziehen!!! Sehr sehr geil!!!

The Island of Staffa (Island of Pillars) with its extraordinary basaltic formations. These are the result of volcanic eruptions millions of years ago, and later complex subterranean disturbances. The most well known and impressive feature is Fingal's Cave, which is 227 feet long, and 66 feet high (the depth of the sea in the cave is also about 60 feet at mean tide). It was this cave which inspired Mendelssohn to write 'Die Fingalshöhle' or Hebrides Overture, when he visited the island in the early 19th Century. Today its possible to take very enjoyable half-day sea cruises to the island with the local company Turus Mara.

Wir haben mit den Backpackers eine Rundreise gemacht.

Von Edinburgh nach Pitlochry, Loch Ness (und den Ort da - hab den namenvergessen) zur Isle of Skye nachFort William, Oban und dann nach Glasgow...

Also überall mal n bissl.

Von Edinburgh ist hier der Holyrood Palace zu sehen, der Palast von Maria Stuart.

In Schottland nicht als Maria Stuart bekannt, sondern als Mary Queen of Scots.
